Albert Bandura is a name that every psychology student has heard numerous times since the day they chose to be a psychologist. So many short notes, presentations and lectures we’ve sat through just solely on his work. Personally, the social learning theory was always one of my favourites, and it is even more interesting to see it at play when I work with children especially. Rest in peace, sir. ✨
Self-affirmations unfortunately are paraded as examples of toxic positivity a lot of times. The difference here is that self-affirmations aren’t just statements that one says in hopes of solving all their life problems. It’s a statement that stays with them through the active steps they take to reach the goal that they want to achieve. These statements act like little helpful pushes to keep you motivated and focused. ✨
